Position  Director, Kids in Mind Research: Mater Centre for Service Research in Mental Health 

Key Roles in Mater CYMHS

• Direct the development of the Research Centre in terms of the values of Mater Health Services
• Assist (mentor) individual research projects
• Report to Director and Executive Manager Mater CYMHS.
• Provide clinical services to Mater CYMHS

Professional interest areas

• Prevention and treatment of aggressive behaviour disorders in children and adolescents
• The development of aggressive behaviour disorders over time
• The broad cultural and societal influences on aggressive behaviour such as poverty and celebration of warfare/violence through myth and cinema
• Understanding the early impact of the combination of symptoms such as anxiety and aggression on later behaviour problems
• The classification and effectiveness of day-to-day clinic based treatment approaches
