To refer a young person contact the community clinic in your catchment area and discuss in as much detail as possible the reasons for referral with the intake person.  Our intake process can offer:

• information about the most appropriate service for your needs
• consultation and advice about potential referrals
• initial appointment with a mental health clinician
• crisis assessment arrangements.

What information will the intake person ask for?

Mater CYMHS uses the Mater Project Management Framework in developing new endeavours, clarifying service areas of interest, or providing a greater focus on an area of need within the service.

ADAWS offers a fully supported withdrawal (or detox) program for young people (13 to 18 years) who feel they have a problem with substance use.

The Mater Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Consultation-Liaison Team is part of the broader Mater CYMHS and provides specialist mental health services to all areas of the Mater Children’s Hospital.
