Referral process

To refer a young person contact the community clinic in your catchment area and discuss in as much detail as possible the reasons for referral with the intake person.  Our intake process offers:

  • information about the most appropriate service for your needs
  • consultation and advice about potential referrals
  • initial appointment with a mental health clinician
  • crisis assessment arrangements.

ADAWS
Inside the house ADOLESCENT DRUG AND ALCOHOL WITHDRAWAL SERVICE (ADAWS)

 

ADAWS is a short-term residential withdrawal service for young people aged 13-18 years who are experiencing complex problems in the areas of their physical and emotional health, social welfare and personal safety, as a result of dependence on or misuse of alcohol and/or other drugs.

Mater Parent Aide

MATER PARENT AIDE

AN ACTIVITY OF MATER CHILD AND YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE (Mater CYMHS)

Mater Parent Aide is a home visiting service utilising trained volunteers (Parent Aides) who primarily seek to improve infant-parent relationships.  The program is coordinated by experienced health professionals and has an early intervention and prevention focus.
